Magnetic field viewer is a common-used device for testing magnetic field distribution of magnet material and devices. This device is made of a special magnetic sensing film welded in a transparent card. Its main function is to view the distribution of magnetic lines and poles of permanent magnets and electromagnets etc. With the help of the viewer you can directly detect the magnet's pole numbers, distance between poles and poles' division etc. so that the magnetization can be evaluated. The magnetic field viewer is cheap, portable, and easy to use.
A magnetic sensing film detects magnetic fields between poles and also types of magnetization. When laid on a magnet or magnet system, the film turns dark at the poles while the zones between north and south appear in a lighter colour.
